Is anyone else having issues with Mail notifications on iOS 18.2? I'm only getting notification badges—no banners or notifications on the lock screen. I've double-checked my settings and even disabled notification categories, but still no luck. Screenshots of my settings are included. Any ideas?

Settings > Notifications > Mail > Customize Notifications. Then select each account individually. For me the “Alerts” option was turned off for all my accounts (even after removing and adding them again so this seems to be default behavior ???). You can do this while having primary inbox turned off and it still works.
Infuriating to say the least.
Update to iOS 18.3, do a hard reset (volume up volume down press and hold on/off button until Apple logo appears. My iPhone 16, iPhone 12 mini and iPad Pro now all working perfectly!😀
OMG THANK YOU. this was driving me bonkers and turning primary inbox alerts to on fixed the issue.
I had the same problem, this worked:
Settings->Notifications->Notification Style--Mail->Customise Notification->Primary Inbox->Alerts set to ON
Maybe it will help someone, but I had also tried everything except resetting all settings before I logged out from iCloud and logged back in. Mail notifications seem to work now. iOS 18.3.2
VIP email notifications, specifically, on locked/sleeping screen are no longer working in 18.2. No suggestions here work.Downgrading to 18.1.1 does work, if you’re willing to go through the HUGE pain of that process.
i found that if you disable a vpn service running, all emails download immediately. i tried everything else since the upgrade to 18.2
I honestly think this is the issue. When I removed the iCloud account everything worked normally.
Another way is to turn the badges off and then back on again and it will go back to normal.
Thanks!!! I tried everything and then after reading this discovered that the notifications for favourite mailboxes were off. Notifications for all of the other ones were on. Not sure what a favourite mailbox is but as someone else said: Apple too often fixes things that are not broken and breaks thing that are not broken. Same with Adobe.
I’ve tried all sorts of mail settings, rebooting etc etc - even raised a case with apple and was dealing with a senior agent who screen shared with me on my devices and still couldn’t get mail notifications to work properly and I only use an iCloud email address!
After several phone calls I was told that apple were aware of the issue and engineers were investigating but there was no lead time for a fix whatsoever.
Im running the latest iOS across all of my devices as of now which are an Apple Watch Series 5, an iPad 11 pro M1 and an XS Max iPhone.
Currently not getting ANY notifications when devices are asleep or locked - only way of getting email is to open the mail app and manually check and even then it takes an age to check and download any emails I should have been notified of.
Utter garbage that we can’t get simple notifications to time sensitive mails.

My bad. I completely misread your issue because my badges were messed up after the update. If you go into sounds & haptics and adjust haptics to “always play” it allowed the sound and haptics to work for me. It seems to be a bug.
Hmm. It could be a difference in other settings, but it fixed it for 2 iPhones that I’ve tried it on. Try restarting to see if that does anything. I wasn’t getting the number of emails in mail for my inboxes and after restarting that’s working now.
I have tried everything, but cannot get all my emails. I said I would never do it, but downloaded google mail app and am able to review all my accounts along with showing only unread and how many unread. Don’t like it like my old mail but it serves my purpose for now.
