iPad corrupting micro sd cards

I was trying to get the dashcam footage of the sd card (the dashcam in question was the Navman miview gps+dashcam) because I couldn't record footage anymore after I updated it I was pulling the files over to my OneDrive and it disconnected and when I tried to transfer the main dashcam files it was gone just said "null" over and over and the files were there before as I watched some of the footage because I can. So what do I do?

As described, the SD card will need to be reformatted. While your iPad can reformat the card, you would be best advised to reformat the card in the Camera that will be used to record video - as this ensures that the card is using the format preferred by the Camera to record video.

When accessing external media (such as your SD Card), ensure that all read/write activity has ceased before disconnecting the media from the host device. Some storage media and card readers have a visible indication that the media is being accessed.
