removing imessage widgets/apps

not necessarily a question; i saw someone else ask how to remove iMessage widgets and apps that are unused and i figured it out so I wanted to post that here! i hope the original poster sees this somehow!

go to settings > apps > messages > iMessage Apps

from here, you can delete any unused apps or toggle off the unnecessary ones that show up when you download other apps.

hoping this is helpful to those that are also frustrated with how many apps that automatically show up in iMessages!
