iPhone 12 Pro Max CarPlay connection issues with Mercedes MBUX

Hi all

When using CarPlay

I am having issues connecting my iPhone 12pro Max to my Mercedes via MBUX , if I ask Siri , she says “having trouble connecting, try again later , I’ve tried disconnecting the phone from the car and visa versa , this has happened on both ISO 18.1 and I’ve just updated to ISO 18.2 and it’s still no better any advice would be welcome 🙏

CarPlay doesn't work with VW ID.4S after iOS 18 update Hi all, after updating to iOS 18, I haven't been able to connect my iPhone 15 Pro Max to either wired or wireless CarPlay in my 2024 VW ID.4S. The error shown on the car stereo screen is something to the effect that 'CarPlay cannot connect, turn on Siri in settings'. Siri is of course on. I've run through the normal troubleshooting including deleting all previous connections to the phone/car on the car and phone, starting wired then moving to wireless, connecting by bluetooth first, turning off rolling MAC address, etc. Sometimes the phone will appear connected by CarPlay on the phone and play music but still cause an error when starting the CarPlay on the car screen. It appears to be an incompatibility with starting the new CarPlay GUI/Siri model. Is there a setting to use the 'legacy' interface on the phone as a possible solution in the meantime. I assume it will be a while before an update to either the car or phone takes care of incompatibilities like this so looking for workarounds. I'm currently using the phone through a standard bluetooth connection without CarPlay. Thank you.

Apple Carplay not working after iOS 16.4.1 update - "Accessory not compatible with iphone error" using original cable Hi! I'm having issues with Carplay not wroking anymore on my phone and on my wife's also. Both we are using now iOS 16.5.1 (a). Still the issue persists. I'm from Romania, the region set on the phone is Romania, I know it's not supported in our country but we used this for about 9 months without any issue. Also I have friends that use Carplay with iOS 16.5.1. I can connect the phone to the PC and download photos, all is working fine except carplay in the Mazda '22. Siri is enabled, I'm using original cable, no app restriction is set, tried network settings reset... Please let me know if there is anything also I can try beside reset the phone to factory. Thanks! IPhone12 - Apple Carplay intermittent connection issues Hello Since the ios 26 upgrade, my iPhone 12 has trouble connecting to my car (BYD atto 3). It works twice out of 10 tries, which is horrible. My wife's iPhone16 pro max, not upgraded to ios 26, works well with the same car. I'm posting this to make sure that this issue is addressed on iPhone 12 as well, as I know it is a known issue on higher models. Thanks
