The Apple TV remote on the newest model won’t change the volume of the television. Already tried resetting the controller by pressing the tv button and volume button. Didn’t work. Also changed the volume control setting in the home theatre section but that didn’t work either. Any tips?

This process has fixed this exact same issue for me twice on 2 different Apple TV 4K setups.

well the tv has to support hdmi cec and it has to be enabled
if that is the case volume and mute and turn on and off using the apple remote will be possible
