I used to have a keyboard viewer on my toolbar that showed the various key combinations (to add accents or type a degrees symbol) and I can no longer find it. I use firefox browser, but I think it was a Mac item rather than application dependent. I know how to locate sites that provide instructions but this was easy peasy.

The MacOS item is Keyboard Viewer. There is a setting to make it appear in the Menu Bar.

For degrees, open Character Viewer and hold down the option key to see which key it is on.
This isn't what I want, unfortunately. I was looking for a "degrees" symbol yesterday, and how to type accented text. This stuff was on the widget before, I believe.
