Is there a converter that would allow me to use my apple tv 4k box on a monitor with a display port?

Sort of. DisplayPort can be made compatible with HDMI for video, but is not compatible for audio.
You would have to use AirPlay speakers or Bluetooth speakers for audio in such a scenario. Or an additional Audio Extractor adaptor box in the setup.
Most adapters are unidirectional, so get the device that supports the signal going that way.
- To connect a DisplayPort device to an HDMI monitor, that can be done with a passive adapter cable.
- To connect an HDMI device to a DisplayPort monitor would require a (USB-)powered adapter that actively makes a conversion. This device would need to match the requirements of the devices on either end, like HDMI 2.0/HDMI 2.1/HDCP 2.2 or later. Without those details, the performance (resolution etc.) may be underwhelming.
An actual screen with HDMI port, like a TV, is arguably the better device for a setup with Apple TV box, and highly recommended.
