iPhone 16 Pro Max display glitch

Hello everyone, I bought new brand iPhone 16 Pro max last week and I am noticing a problem with the display. When I activate it with always on display on, at the moment I unlock it, small vertical lines appear mostly at the bottom of the screen, sometimes even in the middle and it lasts for a split second, sometimes they also appear while I open an app. These lines are not big but really thin and last a blink of an eye. Version 18.2 updated and it persists. Does anyone else have this problem? Could it be a software bug? I hope it won’t hardware problem😭

I really think it’s a sim-related bug.

Since I inserted a new eSIM into my iPhone (in my case, Vodafone Italy), I started experiencing random vertical lines at the bottom of the screen. This often happens when I wake up the phone or use apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram. If I disable mobile data, the glitch disappears. iOS 18.4 hasn’t fixed the issue yet.

I went to the apple store and got assistance at the Genius Bar. The iPhone was checked to see if there was any hardware problem. Everything came out green, not a single problem was reported either software or hardware. So it occurs to me that the problem is really the design of this year's iPhones perhaps because of the camera button and the addition of a metal component to better dissipate battery heat. I checked other exposed iPhones in the store and all of them have jerky animation switching from the widget page to the main page, also scrolling center control widget and so on… we can take it easy

The Worst tip you have received.

If you do backup frequently you don't need to update from the computer!

I always set my new iPhones without backup and at the moment you turn on your phone and log in with your id Apple you can see all your files in a few minutes even if you didn't make the configuration with the last backup (but to make this works you have to turn on backup for specific apps as photos, notes, files and so on and always check the most recent backup to be sure your iPhone has synchronized everything you've added lately)

The only thing you have to do later is download and log in with apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, telegram and so on.

It is preferable setting the iPhone as new to avoid iCloud backup had saved some errors software in different apps so if you do iCloud backup frequently and you turn on only apps you really need like photos or notes your backup will be cleaner than setting it up with all the apps already downloaded and open like on the previous phone you had.

This issue we are experiencing is not due to any backup but with the phone itself of the 16 pro series.

Apple support analyzed the iPhone as I’ve already said. If there was any problem either hardware or software, a red dot would have come out on the device he checked it with me but everything was with green dots.

So I think the issue we are all experiencing is not about problems with hardware or software components but with the phone itself cause the structure is different from previous iPhones.

This year Apple added the camera button and a metal frame inside to solve the overheating problem that many iPhone 15 pro users had experienced. In my opinion this new component has not been properly integrated with the rest of the phone which causes these slight jerks to the display (with AOD this issue is not present) but there is nothing defective, it is just some kind of material contrast.

We don't have to worry about it.

Surely Apple will fix it with future updates or with the next iPhone everything will be seamlessly integrated.

Despite that , I enjoy my experience with iPhone 16 pro max because outside of that, it is a beast, especially for camera and battery. It doesn't heat up a bit even under stress.

During a Genius appointment in-store, I was told to swipe my phone, reinstall fresh software from their computer, and set it up as a new phone and don’t back up from iCloud backups. After doing this, my phone continued to malfunction and, worse, I lost everything. I was told to erase my iCloud backup as well so that it wouldn't reappear on my phone.The worst phone ever!
