Missing Clip in Final Cut Multicam with Black Magic App

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with Final Cut's Multicam.

I usually do a Multiicam with 2 clips and a separate audio file (which I sync with the clips) and it has always worked.

Now I don't know why but in multicam it only loads the audio and one of the two clips.

It's not a problem of the clip not loading, because I see it in the project and it works, it's just that it doesn't load it in the multicam.

It's something I've always done and it's always worked. Now suddenly it doesn't work anymore.

The only difference compared to before is that this time I shot the clips with the Black Magic app, whereas before I did it directly with the iPhone and iPad, without going through the app.

Will it be that?

Thanks in advance for your help 🙏🏼

As Tom says, since the metadata is not in the BM camera app files, you need to help FCP understand that the clips come from different cameras or are different angles. Add camera names and angles in Final Cut Pro for Mac - Apple Support

I solved it and I understood the problem. It overlapped the two clips on the same track. So I did an angle from the track and moved it manually. It will be a bug that is generated when you record with the Black Magic camera app, because if you record directly from the iPhone, without going through the Black Magic app, this problem does not occur. Thanks to everyone for the answers 🙂

At the moment I don't have the possibility to record the screen for you, but I'll try to describe it simply:

- I select 2 clips and an audio, right click and do a multicam (as is usually done). The multicam file is created correctly, except that in the Angle window (where the 2 clips and the audio should come out) I only see 1 clip and the audio. That is, one of the 2 clips does not load.

It's something I've always done the same way and it's always worked.

The only thing different this time is that I recorded the clips with the black Magic app.

That's all.
