I have a Photo Library of ca 45K photos all in folders & keywords, that I would need to transfer from
Macbook Pro to new Ipad Pro 24.
Whats the best way without loosing the keywords and folders?
I back my library up from iphone to Macbook daily, but want to use Ipad pro from now on. Yes, I know I need a lot of storage!!

You do this with iCloud Photos. You can buy a month of storage, sync the Mac and iPad, and then afterward drop iCloud, if you like. It'll take maybe a week to fully transfer all the pictures, but it will be fully automatic, and it will eliminate some possibly corrupted files.
iPadOS is missing some critical features that I use a lot on my Mac, like keywords, titles, smart albums, etc. Be sure this is what you want!
