This morning my Apple TV/receiver/Samsung TV is now posessed.

Just this morning-turning on my Apple TV/receiver/Samsung TV with the apple remote, touching the mouse, the Samsung TV's messaging for mute flashed on and off randomly, the Samsung TV's setting page for accessibility came up and started randomIy picking options. The Samsung remote was little help - it wouldn’t even turn off the TV. I unplugged the TV, receiver, and AppleTV for 30 minutes. No help. I unplugged the TV from the HDMI input and then unplugged the TV for a minute and the TV went back to normal. I plugged the Apple TV directly into the TVs HDMI, bypassing the receiver, and it is acting posessed again. I cannot get to the Apple TV’s settings as the Samsung TV’s accessibility page covers the screen. I don’t know where to go from here. Help!

I think I have figured it out. I put it all back the way it was originally wired and used my iPhone AppleTV remote app and everything works normally. I fully charged the original AppleTV remote and as soon as I was in range, just touching the remote made the TV go crazy. I guess it’s time for a new remote.
