I bought a new AirPods Pro 2 two weeks ago. I’m having problem with iPhone it shown another unknown device that’s connected to my iPhone .. I spoke to Apple support about it and they told me to perform force restart . It worked for while but it shows up again. I became afraid and apprehensive if I being hacked through AirPods . It is not unusual to have AirPods showing as 2 devices when they have been set up. It has been reported here many times and in most cases resetting the AirPods and updating them to the latest firmware will resolve the problem when it counts the left and right AirPods as 2 Bluetooth devices.. The steps are available here:

Specifically for the AirPods Pro 2, the case is also trackable by Find My, so not only will you see the AirPods, but also the case showing as 2 devices.

So yes, it is very common and it does not mean your phone is being hacked by the AirPods.

It’s certainly possible. Try to get both disconnected then reconnect your earphones. Then check the logs in your settings and see if you notice any new files pop up around the time the 2nd device reconnects.

But if there is something connected that the device isn’t recognizing, it’s possible that it has control over turning the Bluetooth on/off. But still worth checking.

Also could just be a harmless bug adding +1 to the accessory count. We can’t know without more data.
