Have watch 11 series updated to current version. Try to use watch and it asks for verification. Never has since last upgrade. Wants my password which I can’t type in without a keyboard function on watch. Help please?

Make sure that on your iPhone in Settings/Notifications/Apple Watch keyboard is enabled.
Then bring your iPhone near the Apple Watch. When the watch asks for the Apple ID password, you should get a message on your iPhone, asking, if you want to use the iOS keyboard to type the password and send it to the Apple Watch.
