iPad Pro 11 stuck in grayscale and no colors after 18.2 update

I updated my iPad 11, 3rd gen to iPadOS 18.2 today. Just after that I the iPad is entirely in grayscale. There are no colors any longer.

I turned off the iPad twice, with no changes after turning it on again. I looked through Settings, but I haven’t found anything that says, “Turn colors back on.”

Has anyone had this problem? Can someone help me bring colors back to my iPad world?

Thank you.

P.S. I have very little knowledge about the inner workings of this mysterious iPad so I need simple instructions…

I stumbled upon the fix while searching through Settings. In Accessibility - Display and Text Size - Color Filters, the Color Filters was turned on. Once I turned that off I was shocked at how colorful this iPad can be!

I don’t recall turning that filter on, but I may have without realizing what I was doing.

So the problem is fixed. Thank you for reading.

For the benefit of others than experience similar issues...

If the screen colours appear to be distorted or unnatural, you need to check some key Accessibility settings that are intended to compensate for specific colour-vision issues:

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size

Ensure that all settings enclosed within the red box above are switched OFF/Disabled.

Otherwise, depending upon your installed version of iOS/iPadOS, you’ll need to look at your Dark Mode settings:

Settings > Display & Brightness > [Appearance]
