What can I do if Apple Music isn't tracking my listening acivity?

i use an app called airbuds which records your listening activity. For months it has worked fine recording what i listen to on the windows app, but after the apple music windows app update yesterday it no longer records what i listen to on the windows app. Is anyone else experiencing this and have you found a fix?

Since the app update, I’ve been experiencing an issue where the app no longer functions properly. I use Elgato’s Wave Link software to create multiple audio channels and manage them easily via my Stream Decks. This allows me to adjust the volume for specific apps, like Apple Music, certain games, or voice chat, individually.

However, since the update, the Apple Music app stops working entirely whenever Elgato Wave Link is installed. It seems like something was changed in the app, making it incompatible with other software. This is highly inconvenient, especially for users who rely on a flexible audio setup!
