Apple Music often shows as playing in control centre when it's not even open. I can't determine if there are common conditions that cause this. OS is Ventura 13.5.1 but this isn't new since the update.
Any insight would be appreciated!

In your screenshot it doesn’t say it’s playing. All it’s doing there is providing a shortcut to quickly start playing *if you want to*, by er… pressing the Play button. If it were playing there would be a Pause button, I suppose (I am away from my mac so I can’t check right now).

As it states in System Settings > Control Center, certain modules are always shown, including "Now Playing".
