My 13 pro is dying ;( Need CPR & medicines

I bought my iPhone 13 Pro on April 1st, 2022, and the display stopped working on May 13, 2023, just one month after my AppleCare warranty expired. This issue started after I upgraded to a new iOS version—I'm not sure if it was iOS 15 or 16. I was on FaceTime with a friend when the phone got really hot, then the display went blank.

Since then, I've been using the phone with a broken display and later upgraded to iOS 18.2. Now, I’m getting a "repair needed" message, and there’s no ".5" option in the camera settings. Additionally, I can’t open the Google Authenticator app.

I didn’t replace the display yet because I was concerned the issue might happen again even with a new screen. I’m really disappointed with this situation. If anyone has a solution for these issues, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance : )

Parts and service history

With iPhone 12 models and later using iOS 15.2 and later, you can go to Settings > General > About to see the parts and service history of your iPhone and you can see if the camera has been replaced. If the repair was done using genuine Apple parts and processes, you will see "Genuine Apple Part" next to Camera.

  • You will see an Unknown Part  message if the camera installation is incomplete or if the camera:
  • Was replaced with a nongenuine camera
  • Was already used or installed in another iPhone
  • Isn't functioning as expected

This message doesn't affect your ability to use your iPhone or access your camera.

If your iPhone's camera has been previously replaced, repaired, or serviced by an unauthorized service provider, it's worth noting that Apple may decline to provide service for your device. The decision to refuse service will depend on the specific components that were affected by the unauthorized service.
