Replacing AirTag battery

It is difficult to remove the battery cover following Apple's instructions. Tip: Use the HEELS of both hands to open the battery cover by turning counter clockwise. Voila! The battery cover opens easily.

AirTag Battery Cover/Battery Replacement My AirTag battery cover will not come off. I have been trying to follow directions and press in on the silver back and rotate counterclockwise, but it will not even press in to allow me to rotate it. Anyone else having this problem and/or have advise for how I can get the back cover off? I've had it for a little over a year now and this will be the first battery replacement.

AirTag cover won't turn to change battery Air Tag - unable to remove cover to change battery. The cover will not turn. It is making the chirping sound but I need to change the battery/reset it. Any suggestions on how I might remove it?
