2017 imac 27" ventura 13.7.2 will not open browers from the dock or copy paste with mouse
Why? and what is fix short of debugging os thank you this is text

If you can open the browsers through the Finder, but only the Dock is failing, then remove them from the Dock & re-add them to the Dock. A browser update may have somehow broken the Dock's link to the actual app.
As for copy & pasting with a browser, that does not always work as it depends on the web page. I find the right-click/Option-click for copying highlighted content from a web page does not always work, but for some reason using the Edit --> Copy menu option seems more reliable when copying highlighted text from a web page.
