Hitting PLAY or the space bar starts to play several minutes below 00

MacStudio/M1Max/Sequoia 15.1.1/FCPX11

This started to happen after the latest FCPX11 update.

All preferences were deleted and reset.

It affects all my new and past projects.

You place the playhead at the start of your time-bar (or anywhere else) and hit PLAY. The play starts for this exemple at -00:31:26:13 or something like that. Every time it is a new number.

I have restarted FCPX and the computer to no avail.

Yes I did use Command and Option keys to delete the preferences. The playhead was nowhere to be seen, at the negative time stamp I guess. However, the problem has now disappeared after I did a full shutdown (not just a restart). One of those glitches that come sometimes when OS and APP are upgraded.

Does the playhead move correctly? Is what shown in the Viewer correct, according to the playhead, and just the time display is wrong? Or is playing back something else?

How exactly did you delete the preferences? Did you use the Command and Option keys at start up of the application?

Try deleting preferences again.

Any change?
