Flashlight availability on iPad 9th generation

Why is it so hard to find a simple yes or no answer with iPad and it’s community forums?

I have literally searched and searched and it is a simple yes or no. Does the iPad 9th generation have a flashlight? If not can I download one from the App Store?? Yes or No.

It Doesn’t.

There is no method to add a flashlight via software.

Only those models of iPad that are fitted with a TrueTone flash (iPad mini6 and iPads Pro) have a flashlight control in the Control Centre.

As the flashlight control is reliant upon iPad hardware that is absent from your iPad, as indicated by stedman1, you cannot add this functionality using an App.

That said there some dubious flashlight Apps that simply use the iPad screen to show a full-screen white image at maximum brightness to provide a bright light source.
