Options for making a Calendar with OLD iPhoto or current Photos app?

Options for making a Calendar with OLD iPhoto or current Photos app? I have used iPhoto for years to make a PDF of a holiday calendar I make every year, but for the first time I cannot get it to work....it seems it gets hung up on a photo...even just one photo....does anyone have any suggestions how to fix it or a current calendar maker app that is easy to use? i need to send these right away...thanks!

In your Photos library select the photos you want in the calendar and use the File ➙ Create ➙ Calendar menu option. You'll see 4 online outfits that create calendars with photos from Photos.

You'll need to go to the App Store and download their extensions for Photos.

Mimeo and PrestoPhotos were subcontractors for Apple when Apple was offering calendars and photo books.

Apple closed all stores for Print Products on September 30, 2019. Since then we cannot order any native Apple print products, neither from iPhoto, Aperture nor Photos, but need to use third party print services. There are some user tips from this time, I am not sure, if they are still valid:

If you still have a Mac where you can run iPhoto or a very old version of Photos, you could try to save a PDF preview of a photo book or calendar and send it to some other printing service.

In Germany I am now creating the calends with CEWE photos. There are probably similar printing services in your country.

iPhoto was discontinued by Apple 15 years ago, and its support has been waning since. I'm totally surprised that you could make a calendar last year! I loved calendars I made with iPhoto! But Apple gave up the picture printing business about the same time they dumped iPhoto, I thought.

Now they offer connections to 3rd Party Photo processors. In the newer Photos, if you go to File>Create>Calendar, you will be sent to the Apple Store and sources that will make a Calendar for you, I suppose integrating well with Photos, but I haven't tried them. It looks like it might be a bit late for Christmas...

There are others, as well. I've used MPix for prints-- but I have not tried them for Calendars. Let us know what you find!
