Workaround for No Camera Roll in iOS 18

Like many others, it is insane that iOS 18 does not have a camera roll or equivalent way to see photos taken by the camera that are not haphazardly mixed in with other photos on the camera that came onto the camera via synch, other apps (like WhatsApp), email, etc. I have always synched camera roll to my computer independently to sort through these photos.

For at least the PC world, the workaround is to connect one's iPhone to one's computer than iPhone should show up as a Drive at highest "My Computer" (not sure how this would work on a Mac). You should see multiple directories with only those pictures taken by the phone. These directories can be copied to your hard drive (this is persnickety so you may need to copy only a few folders at at time). You can also batch delete these folders on your computer but only opening each folder individually and deleting all of the pics in that folder using Control-A to "select all"). iOS won't let you delete the folders directly but empty folders auto delete as soon as you disconnect the iPhone from your computer. This workflow solves the problem for me that I can no longer access "Camera Roll" pics (i.e., pics taken with my phone in distinction to pics that got onto my phone by myriad other ways). Please let me know if this workaround helps you.
