Rash from Apple Watch

After wearing my Apple Watch for almost 2 years, I’ve developed an itchy rash, just in the area of the metal circle piece on the end of the band where the Watch closes. It’s the size of a Quarter. I switched to my other wrist to see what would happen, and the same thing happened, only much faster…within two days. I’ve always been very diligent about cleaning the Silicone band, and have never had a reaction to Silicone in my life…and trust me, it’s been a long one! Has anyone else experienced this?

The metal piece seems to be the problematic part. A family member had a similar problem after wearing the Apple Watch Sport Band for about that time period, and replaced it with the Sport Loop.

You should see your doctor first and then give the official Apple Support a call:

I had to resell my watch, which i really did not enjoy! I actually saw my Doc and he said it was a two- part issue with me. ( hot, itchy, sweaty, uncomfortable)

not allergic to anything on the (many bands) but i have small wrists and literally no air was getting under the watch face. And it was smooshed into my wrist when i took it off to clean or take a break. I tried drying and cleaning the area with alcohol pads in between but, no joy.

do you have small ( or large ) wrists? Could be your culprit. I actually used several things that helped the itching but nothing could be done re: tiny wrists. ( anti fungal soaps and cream did offer comfort )
