Safari 18.2 login and freezing issues on iMac with Sequoia 15.2

I just upgraded my system to the latest version, Sequoia 15.2 and Safari 18.2 on my iMac 24in. 2023. I rarely have any trouble at all, but I’m having a problem with one website that I visit pretty much everyday. For some reason, It doesn’t recognize me. Every day when I access the site it asks for my password & login info. I’ve contacted support for the website and they tell me they don’t know what’s causing it, but maybe my browser is causing it not to know me.

The other thing is that since yesterday, when I DO get into the site, after just a few seconds, the whole thing freezes. Nothing on the page responds. Each time I’ve contacted the support for this site they tell me to use the Chrome browser, because it works better.

So, I’d like to know if anyone has any info about these things happening, what I can do, and is Chrome really better?
