Why do my apps crash after waking my MacBook Air?

I'm using MacBook air M3, sonoma OS version.

after waking up from sleep, apps won't respond, for example chrome is not responding, can't do anything with it.

other apps won't be able to start, like rekordbox, tunefab, Spotify, chrome ..etc.

Sometimes after a while this problem go away, sometimes don't, I usually restart to walk-around.

Apps are updated to the latest version.

Does anyone facing this too ?

Great thanks dude,

I found the cause, though I can't fix it, but there is a walk-around.

The cause is I plug a DDJ-400( pioneer DJ controller) to a USB to type C hub, then connect to my Macbook air.

This is no problem (without the hub) with my old macbook air.

I'm guessing it's the controller is assessing computer from time to time causing some time-out protection.

The walk-around is I pull the DDJ 400 out whenever I enter sleep mode. This is acceptable to me. Hope this help.

Have you restarted the laptop? Computers need to be rebooted from time to time.

Or some third party software may be causing problems. Run the third party app EtreCheck and post the complete report here so we can examine it for possible clues. FYI, it is best to run EtreCheck once the problem appears, or after using the computer for a while.

Try disconnecting all external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.

Try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected. A passing diagnostic is meaningless.

Great job troubleshooting & discovering the source of the problem.

You may want to try a powered USB hub for connecting the DJ controller to see if that makes any difference.
