Screenshots from Apple Watch Ultra 2 not appearing in iPhone 16 Pro Max Photo app

When I take a screenshot on my Apple Watch Ultra 2, with Watch OS 11.2 (22S101), with Screenshots Enabled, the screenshots I take no longer go to my Photo app on my iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS18.2 (22C152). Before iOS 18.2 and Watch 11.2 I could take a screenshot of my Watch’s face and it would pop into my Photo app as the latest photo. No longer. Such screenshots cannot be found, not as photo, not as screenshot, not by date. When I make the screenshot the Watch Ultra 2 still makes the camera shutter sound, and that’s it.

I had to force restart both devices, then open the Photos App and wait a couple of seconds, then the screenshots I took were synced.

However, this is not a permanent solution, so you should also let Apple know directly about this issue by using the Feedback link.

To force restart your watch, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
