AirPod Pro 2nd not playing sound from Amazon Kindle Audible books

Pairing works fine.

Both devices up to date FW wise. Old AirPod Pro 1gen works perfect. But the brand new 2nd gen :

Starts to play just fine, but after 1-2 minutes the decoding starts fail and the sound is cracking. Until it goes completely silent.

The connection is not lost, because the the controls (play/pause) still works.

And the player continues, but the sound is gone.

Since my old Apple AirPod Pro gen1 works as expected but gen2 doesn’t - the root cause analysis need to start at Apple R&D. The Kindle and and gen1 is friends, but gen2 is grumpy and don’t want to play.

Extremely disappointed.. since the old gen1 has it own known issues with static noise, causing me to buy gen2. Just to realize that the are better in many ways. But Apple ignores to acknowledge and fix this issue together with Amazon Kindle. The issue have been known and reported by a high number of customers since 2023…

Please confirm and fix the issue.

Thanks in advance!

On which device are you playing Audible? I listen to the Audible app on my iPhone 15 Pro, using my AirPod Pro 2s without a problem. I also have no problem listening to the Audible app on my iPad Pro gen 6. If you are trying to listen on an old model Kindle, it may simply not have the hardware needed to use the new technology in the AirPod Pros. Let us know.

P. S. You ask us to "please confirm and fix the issue." You are posting to a user to user community. We are just other Apple users here. You are not talking to Apple. We cannot "fix" the issue but may be able to point you to a workable solution.
