M4 mini having intermittent problems loading one of my SSD's

My M4 mini has worked flawlessly with all three of my external SSD's until this morning. After a restart, I noticed that only two of the SSD's had loaded. I've restarted the Mini, swapped connection ports and changed cables. The SSD has loaded twice today and only after a restart. This drive is new (Samsung 2TB in a Orico enclosure. The drive works perfectly on my 2018 MBP. Both computers running the latest version of Mac OS (15.2).

Sounds like the M4 Mc mini doesn't have enough power for all three external SSDs.

Try testing that new SSD and only one of the other two SSDs.

If that works, then you need a power hub in order to be able to connect more than two external SSDs at a time.

Are you using the TB ports at the back or the USB ports on the front? The TB ports can provide more power. I run two TB drives from the rear and one USB drive from the front and no issues. I'm using WD drives in an Acasis, Trebleet and Sabrent enclosures.
