There are quite a few threads on apple support and all over the internet. Did anyone get a response from Apple to this?

I do see the Remote app on my Apple Watch with watchOS 11.2. Try to download it on your watch (not the iPhone) through the App Store (I checked: the Remote app is in the App Store on the Apple Watch).
You are right: the iTunes Remote seems to be gone now. Please let Apple know: Product Feedback - Apple.
Apologies, I could have made this clearer. I’m referring to the iTunes remote app which used to show on the Apple Watch and now doesn’t. 🙁
