Google photos can’t be mirrored on the Apple TV.
someone needs to answer why? It’s either Apple or Google

This doesn’t work the way you describe, when I mirror the iPhone when the Google photos app is open on my iPhone, all I see is the Google photos Logo on the screen :) Please tell me what am I missing here?
I see at least 4 apps in the App Store that can bring Google Photos directly (no mirroring needed) on the Apple TV box. Would that help?
