Unable to receive Apple Pay payments on iPhone 15 Pro Max

I requested $100 from someone yesterday. They paid it and got a receipt confirmation on their end but nothing came through on mine. I’ve tried every resolution I’ve seen online, including running a new system update and it’s still not showing anything from them. This is the first time I’ve ever had any issues with receiving an Apple Pay.. please help I really need this money to come through.
