How often should I restart my MacBook Air M2?

I don’t use my MacBook Air everyday maybe once a month or it can be 2 months and it’s for personal business when needed. So I shut down. But there has been comments to not shut down. Is it ok for me to shut down my MacBook since I don’t use it often.

There is nothing wrong with shutting down your Mac, especially if you are not using it often. However, one important thing to consider when doing so ... and that is to be sure that the laptop's battery is never left with little or no charge during this period. I suggest that you leave it, at least, 50% charged during this time period.

Personally, if I know that I will not be using my Mac laptop for more than a week, I would power it back up, at least once a week, to check it charge level, and then, charge it if it falls below 50%.
