My iPad got "ghost touch" after screen replacement

Hi, my iPad mini 2 got "ghost touch" back in 2020 when I got the screen replaced, and I didn't use it for some years because of this problem I did go back to the place where I got the screen fixed and they said that this was a apple software problem, it got lost and just found it and I thought it would be good by now but It hasn't and I have important personal stuff that I need to get and I can't get it because of the "ghost touch" (I have tried to get the stuff through my MacBook) so I need to know if this can be fixed.

Or that it can still get a screen replaced for a iPad mini 2?

Ghost Touch is NEVER a software problem. And most likely the place that fixed it screwed up.

The Mini 2 is classified as “Vintage” by Apple, which means that they will repair it if they still have the parts. But if you had it serviced by an independent who was not an Apple Authorized Service Provider they may refuse. The best thing is to ask Apple→Contact Official Apple Support

What people call “ghost” touch is actually a short in the digitizer(the part that senses your finger).

It is a hardware issue that can only be fixed by replacing the touchscreen.

If you had a third party replace the screen they did a bad job or used a faulty part and should have fixed it.

since you waited years, you will either have to lose your information or pay Apple to fix it.
