My new iPhone 16 isn't turning on

My new iPhone 16 isn't turning on. I tried 3 or 4 times with the force restart and it again would not start. I then plugged it in as a last resort, did the force restart a few time and finally it started. The battery was at 100%.

Return the device to the store from where you purchased it.
