If your display is not active in a dark room, you can slowly increase the brightness of the screen by rotating the Digital Crown.

Same to me, usa1z06,
when I adjust the general brightness to a higher level (there are only three levels...), then it works, but battery life will be shorter.
When I activate the option "Minimum Brightness" in "Accessibility", then it works too, but the display seems to brighten in general, so again battery life will be shorter.
Any help would be very appreciated.
