I had a friend that sold me his apple iphone 14. He didn't factory reset his phone. He got mad and decided to lock my phone. Now my phone stays stuck on either one or two screens .The first screen says phone is locked by owner. 2nd is the power off screen. It's like the phone is frozen

ONLY your “friend” - who is still effectively the “Apple-Registered” owner of the phone - can release the Activation Lock.
How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support
Without his/her cooperation, the phone will NEVER work for you.
