How can I share high-quality photos from my iPhone 16?

My iPhone 16 is taking great photos but as soon as I select one and hit the share button the image blurrs to the degraded version that winds up getting uploaded, messaged, emailed, or air dropped. This doesn't have anything to do with file compression by the receiver as I can see it happening before even selecting a receiving app, text, email, or air drop recipient. It's as if there is a setting on the phone that is compressing the file just because I'm planning to share it. Is anyone else experiencing this (of course there is) and can you offer any thoughts? Thanks.

I have a 16, and I don't see this. I AirDrop pictures to my Mac most days, and they come through with full resolution. I wonder what we're doing differently. ( Email and Text may be limited to a max file size by the server. ) Do the receivers of your AirDrops see only low resolution images?

My camera settings' switches are all on, except for Burst Volume, Mirror Front, and View Outside. Format is High Efficiency, 24 MP, no Resolution Control. Preserve settings is on for Portrait Zoom and Live Photo.
