Can't reply with text to incoming calls in iPhone

Make sure this feature is enabled by going to Settings -> Face ID & Passcode. Scroll down to the section Allow Access When Locked and turn on Reply with Message.

Does this work, or is the Message button still not appearing?

Okay. If I remember correctly, Apple did rearrange the location of items within Settings on iOS 18. Face ID & Passcode is on the main screen of Settings, but it is located further down (next to Emergency SOS and Privacy & Security). You are correct that the options under Face ID & Authentication are not related to responding with text options for Phone. If the option to toggle Reply with Message is within Face ID & Passcode, then let me know and I will see what I can do.

If you don’t see Face ID & Passcode where it is in DesignPro22’s screenshot it may be disabled in Settings/Screen Time/ Content & Privacy Restrictions/Passcode & Face ID.
