Unable to create new notes in Macbook's Notes app

I think the Notes on my Macbook is damaged. It shows the index, but not the preview or individual notes. I am not able to create a new note. The preview pane is black

Can't see notes pages, only list After upgrading to Sequoia, I can no longer see the texts of the notes, only their titles (they have been blurred for privacy reasons but they are legible) and I am forced to double-click on the list to open them in a separate window. And no, I don't want that. If I try to enlarge the window I don't go beyond the width of the previous attached image, while if I click on the green button it opens the application in full screen and the notes field appears, but completely black. Notes app is not showing text editor when a note is selected I've recently updated my 2021 Macbook Pro M1 Max to Sequoia 15.0.1. After the update, my Notes App will not show the text editor when I click on a note — usually it would display it as a column to the right of the list of notes. The only way I'm able to bring up a text editor is to double click the note. So far, I have: Adjusted column widths and app display options (list vs grid, sidebar on/off, etc.) Quit and restarted the app Rebooted the computer Deselected Notes syncing in my iCloud and rebooted I'm attaching a screenshot so you can see what I mean — I don't have any notes, because I still have them unsynced on this machine as I try to troubleshoot. Thanks for any help!
