Can't see notes pages, only list

After upgrading to Sequoia, I can no longer see the texts of the notes, only their titles (they have been blurred for privacy reasons but they are legible) and I am forced to double-click on the list to open them in a separate window. And no, I don't want that.

If I try to enlarge the window I don't go beyond the width of the previous attached image, while if I click on the green button it opens the application in full screen and the notes field appears, but completely black.

Also, when I took the screenshot of this screen with the black field, opening it in Photoshop it actually turned out to be transparent, as showed in this image.

OK

Shutdown the Notes application, completely

Hold the SHIFT key

Try to Launch Notes in a Safe Launch

This should launch in the last Stable condition

Barring that not working

Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance

Does the issue present in this mode ?

Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right.
