Connecting Epson 2850 to my iMac desktop

No Epson software is required for an AirPrint printer.

Connect the Epson printer to your local Wi-Fi network using the printers on screen menu.

Then go to Apple > System Settings > Printers & Scanners and add the printer to the list.

The following Epson printers are AirPrint-compatible:

• Epson WF-2850
• Epson ET-2850
• Epson ET-2850U

If yours is one of them then there is nothing you need to download or install. Add it to Printers & Scanners as an AirPrint printer. Follow these instructions: Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.
