Received an Alert that a device was Added to my Account?

Received the following Alert: Device Added to Your Account. A Mac now has access to iMessages. If you do not recognize this device you can remove it in System Setting. I am using MacBook Pro 15-Inch,2018. Thank you

It is referring something signing into your account, not simply attaching to the same network.


Did you recently set up Messages on your Mac? Do you use Messages on a Mac? I have had warnings like that pop up a day or more after setting something up.


It sounds like you have checked for any strange devices in your device list.

Thank you I checked, the devices are correctly listed. But, recently Verizon linked the television to my internet connection but that was almost one month ago. However, the television is not listed on my apple devices because it is not Apple could it be the television or any other streaming channel I might subscribe to in the future? Many thanks

Many thanks for the clarification, very interesting! I did not sign for anything, but I know I did run all the updates on my devices and I noticed there is an update tonight too on my iPhone and Mac. Perhaps that has something to do with it as you mentioned.
