How can I repurpose my old iPad 2 effectively?

I have iPad 2 that still charges and turns on fine.

I was able to reset it to factory settings.

Since Apple will no longer not accept this model for a trade in, what can I do with it?

Is it useful for anyone at all? If yes then I will give it away.

The iPad2 is fully obsolete - and has no monetary value for trade-in with Apple. While Apple will not accept the device for trade-in, they will responsibly recycle the device for free.

Apple ended update support for the iPad2 in September 2016. The iPad2 is incapable of update to iOS 10 or later versions of iOS as the internal hardware does not meet the minimum technical requirements for newer versions of iOS/iPadOS. This limitation cannot be bypassed; being a 32-bit architecture devices, you cannot install 64-bot Apps that are intended for newer hardware platforms.

You need to consider that compatible Apps for 32-bit devices are no longer available - all such Apps having been long-ago withdrawn from the App Store. As such you’ll not be able to (re)download or install any Apps for your obsolete iPad them - severely limiting any potential usefulness or utility to anyone.
