"Klipsch The One Plus" speaker pairing issue with iPad

I selected Bluetooth as an input on a new Klipsch The One Plus speaker and found that my iPad never recognized it (even though it recognizes all the other Bluetooth accessories I’ve expected it to) while my iPhone recognized the speaker immediately and successfully paired with it just as one would expect. How can I get the iPad to recognize the speaker?

Some Bluetooth devices can only be paired to a single device at a time. As such, have you tried unpairing (forgetting) these speakers from your iPhone, and then, try pairing them to your iPad?

Thanks, but I did try that, along with turning Bluetooth off on the phone. To my surprise, I now find that the speaker isn’t even being found by my iPhone after I turned Bluetooth back on, although all the other devices that had been listed came back (though of course I hadn’t “forgotten” any of them. I’ve also unplugged and replugged the speaker to see if that would reset it, but no difference. Also did the speaker’s instructions for connecting to Bluetooth but no difference on either the phone or the iPad.
