Issues with contact sharing through nearby AirDrop

Whenever I try to share contacts with another iPhone user through nearby AirDrop feature (touching the tips of the iPhone), My contact poster (with options to revive or share) pops up on my phone but disappears as soon as the animation is done. I then can’t send my contact or receive the recipient’s contact.

I have tried restarting, turning airdrop on and off, disabling and enabling nearby share, and making sure AirDrop is set to receive from everyone.

It happens when Airdropping with all iPhones, but the glitch only happens on mine and it happens every time, making it impossible to use the feature.

If you’re near someone in your Contacts, you can share by opening the content you want to share, then bringing your devices together.2

1. If the person you're sharing content with is in your Contacts, you'll see an image with their name. If they're not in your Contacts, you'll just see their name without an image.

2. This option will only be available if both you and your contact are using an iPhone that’s running iOS 17.
