MacBook Pro stuck with wrong date and time

It is stuck in the wrong time and date and won’t refresh to the actual time. It limits me from using websites

MacBook Pro showing incorrect time and date Hi All, Since an update about a year ago my MacBook has started displaying the wrong time and date. It looks like the clock just turns itself off when the MacBook lid is shut and then when reopened just acts like its that time. E.g Finish working on Saturday night at 7.30pm. Shut the lid and then reopen on Sunday Morning at 11.30am and the time still shows Saturday 7.30pm. Gone into settings, turned off auto update and back on again (which fixes the issue until the next time). Anyone have any ideas? It's really annoying!

MacBook Pro showing wrong date and time It has been more than a year since I’ve been experiencing a problem with incorrect date and time on my MacBook Pro. I’ve tried several solutions found on this site, but the issue keeps coming back after a few weeks or months. I’m quite disappointed because this seems like a basic problem for a company like Apple with its developers, engineers, and architects. Can you push a fix for all the users who are struggling with this issue ?

If you are using a VPN disable it. Ensure you have correctly set your location (wifi network location).
