My iPhone 15 Pro is heating up faster than before even if I use it normally. The battery is also being drained so quickly that I have to charge my phone 3-4 times in 24 hours. It never happened since I bought my phone but has been happening after this iOS 18.2 update.
I saw some tips to turn off Apple Intelligence, but it says 'Downloading' on my phone. Need a solid answer and practical tips, this is really frustrating.

The cause is most likely third party apps you’re using that you and/or the developers have not updated their apps.
Please show the battery usage by app for last 24 hours and 10 days. Here’s mine.
You can test my suspicions by deleting Telegram for 24 hours and comparing the 24 battery capacity usage to the one you have above.
Your other option is wait for the next telegram update. I suspect their development team is off until after the new year. Apple may have a small update coming too.

Yeah Jeff, it's the 3rd day that my device is heating up extremely that I am having a notification saying the iPhone needs to cool down and cannot continue charging when I plug in to charge. This is only happening when I am using Telegram, but I wouldn't complain if this happens when I play my PES football game for hours on my phone. I guess I should wait until they release an update for the application.
In my case it's whatsapp, 47% in the last 10 days. Top 1. Maybe the update messed up with the messaging apps altogether. Maybe something regarding background updates.

Telegram ate up 82% of your battery in the last 24 hours. That tells me you’re using an app that the developer doesn’t care about its users. It’s developers can’t figure out how to fix and issue in the last 7 months since Apple made available beta iOS software.

I guess Pavel Durov also uses an iPhone and came across with this battery drain issue. But I don't think overheating and fast battery drain is only because of Telegram app. I updated the app as soon as they released the latest version.
So every update fixes every issue? If that’s the case why did WhatsApp release 7 updates in the last month?

This is the same thing happening with my iPhone 13. Heating up quickly. The battery taking forever to charge and draining very quickly. Battery shows 98% max capacity. I have tried multiple chargers. Same result.

The issue with your iPhone 13 may be battery health related. What is your battery health rating? Is it normal? Is the percentage below 80%?
