iPhone 16 Pro overheating after iOS 26 update

I have updated my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26 on the very next day it launched but unfortunately after updating my phone started heating while using. Surprisingly, when I go to battery option in settings it says the following:

Your iPhone is completing setup steps in the background. Battery life and thermal performance may improve once finished.


However there is nothing setting up in background.

Yes, there is. You just can't see it.


Give things a few days to complete indexing (everything on your phone has to be checked) and other tasks to complete.


Otherwise, your phone is not overheating unless you see a large red thermometer appear on the screen with a warning message.

Yes, there is. You just can't see it.


Give things a few days to complete indexing (everything on your phone has to be checked) and other tasks to complete.
