Why can't I activate Wi-Fi calling on my MacBook Pro?

Have you turned on Allow Calls on Other Devices on your iPhone? If it's running iOS 18, that setting will be in Settings -> Apps -> Phone. Confirm also in that setting that you've added your Mac as an allowed device.

If that's set up and toggling it off and back on doesn't help, you may need to contact AT&T and make sure there's nothing in your account that would restrict using another device. That seems doubtful to me, but you should check.

Co-ordinating these and similar settings between Macs and iPhones has been notoriously difficult.

Users have reported they have been forced to Restart their Mac, AND Restart their iPhone to get the settings properly reflected on both devices.

I saw an old case on this but the steps are all outdated and don't make sense. It says to go into Settings > Phone. That isn't an option in newer OS's. Also, it's happening on the MacBook not the iPhone. I'm not sure if this is something that needs to be fixed on both the MacBook and the phone? the MacBook? the iPhone? If anyone could please help I'd really appreciate it? Thanks! PS. My dad has the same computer, same phone, and same phone service(AT&T) and doesn't get this message. Also, I checked and WiFi calling is successfully enabled on my phone.
